Our Campaign’s Top Issues

Lawmakers should be doing the difficult, invisible work that keeps the roads paved, lights on, and groceries affordable. I strive to make politics boring again.

  • Statewide Public Transportation Networks
  • Build Efficiently,
    Not Excessively
  • Limits on Yearly Rent Increases
  • Focus on Bipartisan Cooperation

Statewide Public Transportation Networks

I believe in freedom of movement.

South Carolina deserves well maintained, inexpensive transportation regardless of their ability to drive or own a vehicle. Owning a vehicle should be a choice, not a necessity.

Build Efficiently,
Not Excessively

Improving and repurposing vacant and dilapidated buildings and infrastructure should take priority over new development on our woods and wetlands.

We have a fast growing population in South Carolina, prioritizing renovation and efficient building of existing infrastructure is the key to maintaining the beauty of our state while keeping housing costs low.

Limits on Yearly Rent Increases

South Carolinians have no protections against extreme rent spikes, and there are no limits to sudden rent increases that can price renters out of their homes.

Creating a reasonable limit on yearly rent increases to protect residential renters and small businesses will protect South Carolinians from predatory housing management, eviction, and homelessness.

Focus on Bipartisan Cooperation

Lawmakers can often agree on having the same problems, but disagree on their solutions.

By focusing on bipartisan issues that everyone can agree on such as infrastructure and housing costs, I hope to bridge gaps and mend ties across the isle to move toward a better future together in these polarizing times.
